DataBasic Awarded “Good Data Grant” to Help NGO’s Utilize Data

Wednesday, March 8, 2017

DataBasic creators Catherine D’Ignazio (Engagement Lab, Emerson College) and Rahul Bhargava (MIT)**** have received a “Good Data Grant” from Markets For Good, an initiative of the Stanford University Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society. Over the course of the next year they will be partnering with TNB Labs, a Boston-based lab focused on high quality master data management and program management, to develop a data literacy toolkit for nonprofit organizations.

The new toolkit will use DataBasic, a free suite of easy-to-use web tools that make data analysis and storytelling with data accessible to a general audience, to help support nonprofits use data for their fundraising and to better serve their populations.

Stay tuned for more updates, and learn more about and explore DataBasic here.
