About

A short observational film by Harlee O'Sullivan, who recorded a full one-way ride on the Fairmount Line.

This film was created as an individual project of the Fall 2023 Creative Expression for Climate Justice Social Impact Studio, which partnered with the Fairmount Indigo CDC Collaborative to help the organization advocate for the electrification of the Fairmount Line.

A Look Inside the Co-Creation Process

Social Impact Studios, facilitated by the Engagement Lab, give Emerson students and faculty the opportunity to work directly with local grassroots changemakers to co-create media projects that will make an impact in Boston and beyond.

Riding the Fairmount Line was just one of many projects generated by Fall 2023’s Social Impact Studio "Creative Expression for Climate Justice," as part of the Transforming Narratives for Environmental Justice initiative.
